Install and restore errors
These are the errors you can hit while adding Aivie.Content to your project. The normal steps are on the Installation page.
The restore fails with error NU1107 about AngleSharp
When you add Aivie.Content, dotnet restore stops with error NU1107, a version conflict on AngleSharp.
Cause
HtmlSanitizer 9.0.x pins AngleSharp to exactly version 0.17.1. Umbraco.AI, which Aivie installs as a dependency, needs AngleSharp 1.4 or newer through its SmartReader dependency. The two cannot be combined. NuGet cannot raise the version of a package that your own project references directly, so you have to do this one step by hand.
Fix
-
Remove any
AngleSharppackage reference that you added because the error message told you to. That advice makes the conflict worse. -
Put
HtmlSanitizeron version 9.1.973 or newer. Run this in the folder of your web project:dotnet add package HtmlSanitizer --version 9.1.973 -
Add Aivie and restore again:
dotnet add package Aivie.Content
Do the steps in this order. See Installation for the same commands as a PackageReference.
The compiler reports CS1061 on SetApplicationName or PersistKeysToFileSystem
After you paste the Data Protection block into Program.cs, the build fails with error CS1061 on SetApplicationName or PersistKeysToFileSystem.
Cause
The two methods live in a namespace that your Program.cs does not import yet.
Fix
Add this line at the top of Program.cs:
using Microsoft.AspNetCore.DataProtection;
The complete block is under Pin Data Protection.
