Glossary
The terms below appear throughout this documentation, in alphabetical order.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Agent | An agent of Umbraco.AI, which you find under AI → Agents. It has its own instructions, an AI profile and contexts. Aivie creates a chat assistant, an ideas agent and a keywords agent. The settings name an agent by its alias. |
| Cluster | Another word for an idea group. The idea groups are listed on the tab Clusters of the Ideas screen, and the button to make one is New cluster. The clusters on the Keywords screen are a different thing: they are labels that group keywords by topic, not idea groups. |
| Context | A set of background information that Umbraco.AI gives to an agent with its requests, found under AI → Contexts. Aivie creates contexts for your company details, for the chat, for the ideas, for the Layer 2 instructions, for the keywords, for the text of your datasources and for the rules of your own site (customer-specific). |
| Datasource | A website that Aivie crawls and uses as background, for example the site of a competitor. You add datasources on the Datasources screen. The configuration keys use the older name Competitors. See Datasources. |
| Default layer | One of the instruction documents that Aivie ships and installs: Layer 1, with the basics for every page, and the Layer 2 documents, with the instructions and target length per kind of page. Aivie updates a default layer you did not change. See Default layers. |
| Example page | An existing page that shows the idea generator how pages of a type are built on your site. You choose example pages per idea group. See Example pages. |
| Idea | A page that the idea generator writes for an idea group. It is placed in the content tree and gets a publication date: it is published at once when that date is today, and otherwise on its day. You can check and edit it, and stop it in the planner. An idea counts against the pages allowance of your package. |
| Idea group | A set of choices that tells the idea generator what to write about, such as a name and the content type of the pages to create. A run of the generator shares your monthly allowance among the active idea groups. The dialog calls it an idea group, and the tab and the cards call it a cluster. See Your first ideas. |
| Intake | A completed intake form (a .docx file) with the details of a customer. The setup wizard reads it and offers to fill in your company details from it. See Setup wizard. |
| Layer 3 document | The document that holds the tone of voice, the house rules and the agreements of a website. You import it in the setup wizard as a .docx, .md or .txt file, and Aivie adds the text, as it is, as a resource in the customer-specific context. See Setup wizard. |
| Package | The subscription of a site with Core, Plus, Max or Ultra, which sets the monthly limits. The setup wizard calls the field Subscription. See Package tiers. |
| Partner | A company that offers Aivie to its own customers under a partner licence. A partner site has no package of its own and no limits, unless the partner assigns one of their own packages. See Packages (partners). |
| Profile | An AI profile of Umbraco.AI, found under AI → Profiles. It joins a connection to an AI model for one task. A chat profile writes text and an image profile draws images, and one profile cannot do both. The setup wizard creates one of each. |
| Read-only | The state in which Aivie lets you look at everything but refuses to create or change anything. It follows from the licence status. See Licence statuses. |
| Resource | One item of information in a context, such as a text. Datasource text, a default layer and a Layer 3 document are resources. |
